Smother on a sandwich, dip your French fries in it, or use it for grilled cheese, aioli is incredibly versatile and delicious but can also be intimidating to make yourself. Using a food processor, like the all-new Breville Paradice 16 can make this process so much easier and give you a creamy and fluffy aioli in minutes. It's just 4 simple ingredients that you most likely already have around your kitchen as well!
To make your own aioli at home, you’ll need:
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 cup Oil
- Food Processor
- Begin by adding the egg yolks, Dijon mustard, and garlic to the food processor.
- Blend everything for 2 minutes or until it all comes together into a smooth paste.
- With the food processor running, slowly drizzle the oil into the egg mixture in a slow but consistent stream. If the oil starts pooling stop pouring until it incorporates in and continue pouring again.
- After all the oil has been added, check the consistency. If it's too thick add a couple of drops of water or apple cider vinegar for extra flavour, if it’s too thin, add a bit more oil.
- Season with salt and enjoy!
This recipe is very easy to change the flavours of. Try adding chipotle peppers to your egg yolks and mustard for a chipotle aioli, use pesto in place of garlic for a delicious pesto aioli, or add your favourite spices at the end to have all kinds of different flavours!
