STYLE
When choosing a laundry pair for your home, there are many things to consider: performance, capacity, efficiency, space constraints, and of course, style. Below are three common styles to choose from:
HIGH EFFICIENCY TOP LOAD
The High Efficiency Top Load come with all the energy and water savings in an easy to use configuration. This is the largest capacity available with superior vibration control.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A WASHER
In addition to style, there are a few other things to keep in mind when buying a new washer.
CAPACITY
Washing machine tubs are always measured in terms of cubic feet. The larger the capacity, the fewer loads of laundry you have to do, which means more time for the things that matter most.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Most machines are Energy Star ® certified, which means they save energy without compromising performance. Additionally, you can check the CEE* rating (Consortium for Energy Efficiency). The CEE is a non-profit public benefit company that encourages companies to create energy efficient products.
PERFORMANCE
All of our machines come with a multitude of features to make your every day chores easier. It’s important to prioritize which features would be most valuable to you and your family. For example, if you have active children, you might want to look for steam clean models that have the power to break deep soils and fight stains.
Washer Cycle Options:
- Regular Cycle: typically the longest with the most agitation
- Permanent press: primarily used for synthetic fabrics where they need a lot of agitation but slower spinning
- Delicate: the shortest of all the cycles, uses less agitation and slower spinning, providing the most protection for your fabrics
- Steam Clean: has the power to break down deep soils and fight stains
- Colour Last: cycles adjust to the right watch action, time and temperature to ensure optimal fabric care
- Wash and Dry Cycles: automatically activate a fan in the washer and dry your clothes without using a dryer
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A DRYER
A new dryer can offer many advantages; sensors that automatically monitor the moisture levels in clothes to prevent over drying, extended tumbling, and even steam cycles to minimize wrinkling. Today’s dryers offer more than ever before.
Once you choose the type of dryer you want to match with either a front load washer or top load washer, next you need to think about capacity. Do you have large amounts of laundry during the week? Our large capacity dryers are a great option to help you save both time and money. Most dryers do come in both electric and gas, but it’s still something to consider before buying.
Dryer Cycle Options:
- Wrinkle resistant: Uses medium heat to prevent wrinkles and damage. (Newer machines typically have a cool down period near the end of the cycle.)
- Steam: Can be added at the end of your drying cycle to prevent wrinkles from setting in or used to refresh clothes that don’t need to be washed but need to remove wrinkles and a bit of odor
- Moisture Sensing: Track the moisture of clothes and temperature of the dryer, while adapting the drying time to help prevent damage from over drying
